These cables are made using 24 gauge (AWG) copper wires with about three twists per inch enabling them to transmit data at 1000 Mbps (~1 Gigabit per second) with a frequency of 100 MHz. They are suitable for 10BASE-T, 100BASETX Fast Ethernet and 1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet.
